In early 2009 Tooker decided to leave radio and start his second career. “The goal was to learn sales and get back into radio eventually becoming a General Manager of a radio group.” When it became difficult for Dan to get hired (In Sales) in the industry (Most thought Tooker wouldn’t stick to sales and take the next programing opportunity that came along.) a friend suggested that the Yellow Page industry had the excellent sales training. Dan signed on with PDC Pages/ Ziplocal as an Account Rep and quickly became the Regions top sales person excelling in new business development, reservice as well as internet marketing. After 3 months he was promoted to Sales Manager running his first market. In two years at PDC Pages/ Ziplocal Tooker rebuilt several teams/markets from the ground up and delivering record breaking increases in an industry that was in a national decline.
His teams excelled at New Business development, website marketing, Increase from current customers and in an industry with high turnover Tooker’s teams had very little. In July 2011, Tooker Joined Yellow book/ hibu who transformed from being a leading supplier of print( yellow pages) and online advertising for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to being a leader in the emerging local eMarketplace. Dan quickly established himself as not only a Sales leader but as a Leader within the management ranks (see brag binder) and a highly sought after public speaker/Trainer. His current territory includes Idaho, NE Oregon, Western Washington and Wyoming. Tooker’s areas of Expertise include EVERYTHING Google, Websites, SEO, SEM (Pay Per Click) , Social Networking, Sales Training, Start Ups, New Business Development , Customer Retention and Growth, building a sales force and creating a positive culture. “I love my people.
