DirecTech promotes sales director to vice president role

"I can't speak for everybody at DirecTech, but the reason I was drawn to this company was because of the passion for the small business owner," Tooker said. "I grew up in Bakers Corner, Indiana where the American farmer was the backbone of the community. It wasn't till later, that I sat face to face with a small business owner, when I was truly enlightened. The small business owner lays it all on the line every day."

Having been with DirecTech since mid-2017, Tooker took on increasing responsibilities, first for the firm’s inside sales team and then for all sales.

An alumnus of Indiana State University, he brings a portfolio of achievement in driving sales growth, approaching expansion through incentivizing existing customers, and broadening the client base.

Tooker brings specific expertise in search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), mobile marketing, and social media networking. In addition, he has experience in web-based video; web sales, marketing and ecommerce; radio and print advertising, and direct mail campaigns.

His combined abilities will help drive DirecTech to offer small businesses a chance to "compete on Google for a fraction of the cost of our competitors."

Additionally, the new vice president boasts a varied background, having broadcast his own morning radio show and worked as an entertainer. Previously, he also worked for medical as well as media enterprises.

Company stakeholders praised Tooker’s leadership and sales activity direction, explaining that he essentially launched the Des Moines sales office and expanded its advertising activity to coupons and billboards.

“With many years of experience in our industry, Dan has brought forward new ideas that are making us better,” a DirecTech spokesperson said. “He has also recognized and promoted great talent that existed within in the company.”

Tooker believes DirecTech's trajectory will follow that of other successful small businesses.

"Where will small businesses be in the next five years? Our primary responsibility at DirecTech is to grow with our customers/client base at a pace that not only makes scenes for them but provides them with results," he said. "Internally? We want to continue to invest in our team by training in a ever-changing space and provide our people a culture to thrive."

Listening to the customers, he stated, is the path to success.
